Day 5 Long Preston to Gisburn 12.5 miles.

Left Maypole and immediately had to face very busy road with huge lorries for short distance but safely negotiated. Soon back onto the bridleway and very different scenery. Today we left the hills behind and went through gently rolling farmland and wooded lanes. Beautiful sunshine, more cantering and a good pub lunch. Horses behaving perfectly and we are very proud of them. They seem used to the daily routine with daily lunch stops and nighttime B&B
Pip and Kirk have kindly replenished our knicker stocks and horses' feed. Looking forward to dinner with them in Gisburn tonight. Thank you Pip and Kirk.
